The BTER Foundation provides a wealth of programs and services.

To find the programs that interest you, we have organized them into several categories:

  • Foundation Publications and Media Productions
    This category includes our newsletter, The BeTER LeTTER; as well as Annual reports, multi-media presentations, and documents in support of patients, in support of therapists, in support of you.

  • Multimedia Productions
    The major thrust of the BTER Foundation's mission is accomplished by producing educational programs and publications. Some of our multimedia productions are posted on this page.

  • Therapist Referral List
    Here registered users of our website may access our different biotherapy referral lists for the contact information of therapists, educators, and advocates.

  • Conferences, Lectures, Courses & Webinars
    Here you will find a list of educational programs (live and previously recorded). Some are presented by the BTER Foundation; others are listed as a community service. You can also hire an instructor for your own conference lectures or workshops.

  • Policy & Procedures
    Registered users may access our Policy & Procedures templates for maggot and leech therapy here.

  • Guidelines
    Here registered users of our website may access our Policy & Procedure Templates and White Papers.

  • Grants & Funding Programs
    The BTER Foundation has a variety of grants programs, including Patient assistance grants and Research publication & presentation grants. Periodically we also publish requests for proposals.

  • BTER Foundation Awards for Outstanding Service in Biotherapy (William S. Baer Award)
    The first William S. Baer Awards for Outstanding Service in Biotherapy were presented in November 2010. If you would like to read about our six recipients, click here. Nomination information and forms are available here.

  • Research Programs
    BTER Foundation members are involved in biotherapy research, individually and collectively. Some of these projects are posted on this page.

  • Library
    At the present time, only members are eligible to have biotherapy articles sent to them (free of charge, for single-use educational purposes only) from Dr. Sherman's Biotherapy Library, containing over 2,000 articles on biotherapy. But anyone is allowed to visit the library (appointment necessary) and study or photocopy the articles.

  • Programs in Support of Patients
    The BTER Foundation provides services for patients looking for education and solutions. Some of these services are posted on this page.

    The BTER Foundation provides services for clinicians looking for information or assistance in caring for their patients. Some of these services are posted on this page.
