The BTER Foundation is excited to announce the upcoming International Course on Maggot Therapy, to be held April 29 – May 3, 2024, in Izmir, Turkey. During this four-day course, participants will learn about maggot biology and rearing, the science underlying maggot therapy, clinical indications and contraindications, the mechanics of dressing applications, and more. A hands-on workshop will allow participants to practice performing maggot treatments. The course faculty comprises experts from around the world, including doctors Yamni Nigam (UK), Jose Contreras-Ruiz (Mexico), Frank Stadler (Australia), Kosta Y. Mumcuoglu (Israel), Aysegul Taylan-Ozkan (Turkey), Bayram Colak (Turkey), Alper Erkin (Turkey), and Ugur Uslu (Turkey), and Ronald Sherman (BTER Foundation Director, USA).
